Silver 13″ Panasport alloy wheels are mounted with 205/60 Federal Formoza FD1 tires. Stopping power is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the car is equipped with Koni dampers and a rear axle torque arm. Work performed under prior ownership reportedly involved rebuilding the brake booster, changing the brake fluid, and installing front and rear Dale’s springs.
The cabin houses two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dash surround, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a wood-veneer dashboard, a heater, a storage cubby, and a locking center console.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The tachometer and oil pressure gauge are said to have been replaced with AutoMeter units under prior ownership. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 302ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and is equipped with a chrome air cleaner cover, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Griffin aluminum radiator, an aftermarket fan, Tiger-branded valve covers, electronic ignition, exhaust headers, and Borla mufflers. Additional equipment reportedly includes an Edelbrock intake manifold as well as a roller camshaft and valvetrain. Service in September 2022 reportedly involved changing the oil and rebuilding the carburetor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford Toploader four-speed manual transmission. A Fuel Safe fuel cell has been installed in the trunk. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.
The Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association certificate of authenticity was issued in June 1997 and lists the original color code, engine number, JAL number, and chassis serial number.
