The body was refinished in Newport Blue under current ownership, and the ash wood-framed mahogany veneer panels were stripped and refinished at Wood n’ Carr of Signal Hill, California. Additional work at the time of the repaint included addressing dents and re-chroming the grille, trim, spotlights, emblems, and bumpers. Features include a power-operated tan Haartz convertible soft top, pillar-mounted spotlights, dual mirrors, front and rear bumper overriders, and a blue vinyl convertible top boot. The soft top and convertible top hydraulic rams are said to have been replaced in 2022.
Chrome 16″ wire wheels wear two-eared spinner center caps and are mounted with 215/70 Toyo Tranpath whitewall tires. Custom bracketry was constructed, and metalwork was performed on the subframe, cross members, and chassis rails to allow for fitment of the added independent front suspension system, triangulated four-link rear suspension setup, coilovers, front and rear sway bars, and power-assisted steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats reupholstered in blue leather with tan Broadmoor Cord cloth inserts. The electrical system was converted to 12 volts, and additional features include a heater, lap belts for all occupants, carpeted floor mats, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo. The interior is said to have been stripped, the carpeting and padding were replaced, and the ignition, decklid, and glovebox locks were re-keyed under current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a GPS-based 110-mph speedometer as well as gauges for water temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 5.7-liter Hemi V8 was installed under current ownership and features a truck-style intake manifold and engine cover. The cooling system has been upgraded with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. An oil change was performed in 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement five-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch rear axle. A fabricated transmission cross member was installed during the refurbishment, and the subframe was reinforced. The Wilwood master cylinder as well as the battery cutoff switch and remote terminals are mounted beneath the body.
