The cab was stripped to bare metal and repainted yellow with black fenders as part of the refurbishment. Further work included fabrication of a custom bed, running boards, fenders, and 10″-tall bumpers. Front- and rear-mounted hydraulic Braden winches have fairleads, bronze bushings, steel cable, and wireless control capability. Other exterior equipment includes front and rear receiver hitches, a rear pintle hitch, a gooseneck hitch, two five-gallon jerrycans, an exterior sun visor, arrow turn signals, amber Mopar driving lights, bullet-style headlights, dual spotlights, dual side mirrors, a crank-open split windshield, and wipers with Bosch motors. The lights, glass, and weatherstripping are among the components that reportedly were replaced during the refurbishment. Raptor Liner material has been applied to numerous surfaces including the undersides of the fenders and running boards. Most of the photos in the gallery below were taken in 2022.
Black-painted 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 9.00-16LT Specialty Tires of America Superlug tires. A matching spare is affixed to the passenger side of the vehicle behind the cab. The truck is equipped with a dually rear axle as well as manually locking front hubs, and additional modifications are said to include the following:
The seller states that the extra wheel hubs included in the sale can be installed to allow the truck to run single wheels in the rear rather than the current dually setup.
The custom bed is constructed of steel with 1½”-thick oak flooring separated by powdercoated trim strips. The seller states that the wood flooring was painted before the bed’s inner surfaces were coated in Raptor Lining material. A removable panel at the rear of the bed provides access to the rear winch, and another panel near the center of the bed reveals the gooseneck hitch. A lockable chest toolbox at the front of the bed is partially occupied by a 16-gallon hydraulic tank for operating the PTO and the winches. The tailgate has three greaseable hinges.
The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in black cloth with vinyl sides accompanied by color-coordinated door panels as well as custom panels and kick panels. Cole Hersee brass push/pull dashboard switches feature custom laser-engraved knobs. Additional appointments include a Mopar Truck Master cabin heater, lap belts, a black headliner, a dome light, a floor-mounted fire extinguisher, a glove compartment, and manual windows. Playing through a pair of 6½” JL Audio speakers, the push-button Motorola radio in the dash has been updated with Bluetooth, USB, stereo, and AM/FM functionality.
The three-spoke steering wheel is said to have been sourced from a 1939 Dodge, and it features a chrome horn ring and fronts an 80-mph speedometer and a column-mounted tachometer. Gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level are located in the center of the dashboard. A Motor Minder vacuum gauge is positioned below the dash, and an air-pressure gauge is mounted inside the glove compartment. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 750 miles, and true chassis mileage is unknown.
The replacement 392ci Hemi V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1958 Chrysler Imperial and was subsequently rebuilt, overbored .040″ to displace 400ci, and installed during the refurbishment. Additional modifications reportedly include the following:
The frame was stripped and refinished in black as part of the refurbishment. Further work reportedly included reinforcement of various frame components as well as installation of the following:
