Red-finished 15” steel wheels feature polished covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with whitewall tires. The C1 was factory equipped with an independent front suspension that incorporated tubular hydraulic shock absorbers, coil springs, upper and lower A-arms, and an anti-roll bar while the rear suspension consisted of a live axle on semi-elliptic leaf springs with tubular hydraulic shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The bucket seats are faired into the rear bodywork and are trimmed in red vinyl and are complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Interior appointments include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, an AM radio, an analog clock, a heater, a floor-mounted shifter, lap belts, and polished door sills.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 140-mph speedometer. A central 5k-rpm tachometer is flanked by gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 235ci “Blue Flame” inline-six was factory equipped with three Carter YH side-draft carburetors. The cylinder head was replaced under prior ownership.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Signs of corrosion are noted beneath the car.
