Finished from the factory in Battleship Grey, the car was repainted its current shade of dark green some time in the 1960s. Exterior features include removable rear fender skirts, Lucas front fog lamps, and fender-mounted side mirrors. The rear window seal was replaced around 2011. The windshield washers are said to be inoperable, and the seller notes rust on the passenger-side inner rocker panel. Areas of paint cracking and flaking are present on the rear decklid, hood, and fenders as shown in the gallery, along with other imperfections around the body.
Body-color steel wheels wear chrome trim rings and hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires that were installed in 2011. Additional work that year reportedly included refreshing the four-wheel drum brakes with a replacement master cylinder, shoes, wheel cylinders, and hoses, along with replacement of the steering rack boots and mounts.
The seats and door panels were reupholstered in red leather in 2011 and replacement red carpets were installed at that time. Details include wood trim, a locking glovebox, a push-button AM radio, and a dash-mounted rear-view mirror. The wood veneer finish shows signs of cracking.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of centrally-mounted Smiths instrumentation that includes a reverse-sweep tachometer with an inset clock, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 63k miles, around 200 of which have been added during current ownership. The tachometer is inoperable.
The 3.4-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors that were reportedly rebuilt in 2011. Additional work that year is said to have consisted of rebuilding the fuel pump, re-coring the radiator, performing a tune up, cleaning and painting the oil pan, installing Lucas helmet-type battery cables, and replacing the timing cover seal, oil pressure gauge hose, condenser, spark plugs, points, and fuel inlet sock and sending unit. The engine block core plugs were reportedly replaced in 2019, and a coolant flush and oil change were performed at that time.
The cylinder head stamping is shown above, and the engine block stamping can be seen in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A Bell exhaust system with a stainless-steel silencer was installed in 2011. Additional underbody photos are shown in the gallery.
