Chrome 14″ Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels wear faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with Michelin Radial XH4 whitewall tires. A full-size spare with a bias-ply tire is mounted in the trunk. An overhaul of the suspension performed by the selling dealer reportedly included the installation of replacement shocks, front coil springs and insulators, bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends and seals, stabilizer bar links, rear leaf springs, U-bolts and fasteners, and a repacking of the wheel bearings. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes that were reportedly serviced by the selling dealer with replacement lines, fittings, an adjustment of the brake shoes, and a fluid flush.
The cockpit was reupholstered in pleated red vinyl upholstery under previous ownership and features a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets as well as engine-turned trim. Equipment includes a heater, a Town and Country signal-seeking radio, a floor-mounted shifter, and red Thunderbird-branded floor mats.
The three-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frames a 140-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows less than 1,400 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The F-code 312ci Y-block V8 is equipped with a Paxton/McCulloch VR57 supercharger and a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it was rated at 300 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission with factory-equipped overdrive. A replacement exhaust hangar was fitted by the selling dealer.
