The cabin was reupholstered during the aforementioned refurbishment and features two bucket seats trimmed in charcoal vinyl along with a color-coordinated dash pad, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include lap belts, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater and defroster, and a Wonder Bar AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 features Rochester mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 290 horsepower. The engine, fuel injection, and transmission were reportedly rebuilt during the aforementioned refurbishment, and equipment includes a Powermaster PowerGEN alternator, electronic ignition, an electric fan, and a replacement radiator.
The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The CS suffix is consistent with a 283ci V8 rated at 290 horsepower and designated for a 1958 Corvette with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. The differential is said to have been rebuilt with Eaton internals.
