The truck was reportedly refinished under prior ownership in two-tone pewter and black with red pinstriping. Additional exterior details include chrome bumpers and trim, dual side mirrors, “cat’s eye” taillights, a curved windshield and back glass, and a rubberized DuraLiner DuraSport bedliner mat. Paint chips are visible on the front upper valance, and the seller notes that various blemishes have been touched up under current ownership.
Polished Billet Specialties alloy wheels measure 18″ in diameter up front and 20″ at the rear, and they are mounted with 235/40 front and 275/35 rear Nitto Invo tires showing date codes from 2014. The car is equipped with a Classic Performance Products front-end kit and power steering, and the suspension has been modified using Hotchkis upper trailing arms and an AccuAir air-suspension kit with the compressors and air tank located underneath the bed. Braking is provided by Wilwood calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors with a Wilwood master cylinder, and an E-Stopp electric emergency brake has been installed.
The cab features a split folding bench seat retrimmed in black upholstery with the Corvette crossed-flags logo embroidered on each seatback. Billet aluminum trim accents the interior, and equipment includes a Vintage Air climate-control system, a Ron Francis wiring kit, push-button start, power-operated door locks, keyless entry, USB outlets, and a touchscreen Pioneer head unit. A custom illuminated speaker box positioned behind the seat features two JL Audio amplifiers, Audison Prima speakers, and two 10″ JL Audio subwoofers. A pair of Optima Yellow Top batteries is mounted behind the passenger seat.
A Billet Specialties steering wheel is attached to a tilting Ididit steering column and fronts AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a tachometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The seller states that the speedometer and odometer do not work. The digital odometer shows 2k miles, and the seller estimates having driven the car 5k miles. True chassis mileage is unknown.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was sourced from Turn Key Engine Supply and features billet aluminum pulleys, a polished aluminum air intake, polished stainless steel air-conditioning lines, fiberglass body-color engine covers, a Lokar dipstick, tubular exhaust headers, and a Ledfoot Racing aluminum radiator. Aftermarket hood hinges are installed, and factory-style hinges with springs are included in the sale along with factory-style “Corvette LS3” engine covers. The engine compartment was repainted at the time of the engine installation, and the fluids were reportedly changed in March 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission, a Modern Driveline clutch and flywheel, and a Currie Enterprises 9″ rear end with a Detroit Truetrac differential and a 4.11:1 gear ratio. The custom stainless-steel exhaust system features FlowMaster mufflers, and a stainless steel fuel cell has been installed.
A binder of service records and components manuals will accompany the vehicle.
The chassis-number tag has been partially painted over, as seen above. The car is titled under the VIN H59L156462, which is appropriate for a V8-powered 1959 El Camino built at the Los Angeles, California factory.
