The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Daytona Blue (916) and was refinished in 2017, per the seller. Features include flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
Silver-finished 15” steel wheels feature three-eared spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 6.70-15 US Royal tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted drums that were cleaned in 2023. Additional work at that time included cleaning the brake master cylinder and replacing the wheel cylinders and U-joints.
The cabin features two bucket seats reupholstered in blue leather complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, and lap belts. The radio condenser and ignition switch capacitor were replaced in 2023, and the door panel and handle were repaired.
The three-spoke steering wheel has a crack and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci L75 V8 was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel carburetor for a factory rating of 300 horsepower. Service completed in 2023 included replacing the fan clutch and manifold gaskets, repairing the carburetor choke, and fabricating a fuel line.
The engine stamping is shown above, and the SD suffix corresponds with a 300-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with an automatic transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and an optional Positraction differential. Service under current ownership has included vapor honing the underside and replacing the mufflers as well as repairing areas of rust and components of the exhaust system.
