Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-offs and wear BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel mounted with an older tire is stored in the rear compartment. The suspension was overhauled under previous ownership, along with the four-wheel disc brake system. A brake fluid flush was performed in March 2022.
The cabin has been re-trimmed in red leather with matching carpets and features fixed-back bucket seats, a passenger-side grab handle, a heater, and an aftermarket Motorola AM/FM radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. Center-mounted instruments include gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.8L twin-cam straight-six is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment in 2012 by Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, California, and is equipped with triple SU carburetors and polished valve covers. An oil change was carried out in March 2022.
Engine number RA3462-9 is stamped on the cylinder head and matches the engine number indicated on the chassis plate and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was also reportedly rebuilt during the refurbishment work in 2012. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate indicates a manufacture date of September 4, 1963 and lists original colors, equipment, and identification numbers as well as distribution through Jaguar Cars of New York.
Service and refurbishment records, a knock-off hammer, a service manual, and a tool roll are also included in the sale.
