Steel 14″ wheels wear polished covers with body-color inserts and are mounted with a mixed set of Shell, Cooper, and Pirelli white-stripe tires. 220SEs were equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes, and the fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin has been reupholstered in saddle vinyl with matching carpets and features wood trim on the dashboard and windshield surround. Appointments include Kuhlmeister air conditioning, a Nardi steering wheel, front and rear center armrests, a VDO analog clock, hand-crank side windows, and a Becker Mexico radio. The air conditioning refrigerant was recharged in 2023.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles, though the total mileage is unknown.
The factory 2.2-liter engine was removed and replaced with a fuel-injected 2.8-liter M130 inline-six. Service in preparation for the sale included flushing the coolant, changing the oil, and replacing the spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission fluid was changed in preparation for the sale.
