The 14″ Rally I wheels were refinished as part of the refurbishment and wear reproduction FR70 Firestone Super Sports Radial redline tires. Refurbishment work included installing power-assisted front disc brakes in addition to servicing the rear drums and replacing the body bushings, suspension bushings, and shocks. A quick-ratio steering box sourced from a 1967 Pontiac was rebuilt and installed, according to the seller.
The front bucket and rear bench seats were reupholstered in white vinyl using material sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors as part of the refurbishment and are complimented by replacement white door panels in addition to black carpets and a black dash pad. Interior equipment includes a Hurst shifter, a heater, a dome light, bright door-sill plates, and lap belts for the front occupants. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a woodgrain instrument surround housing Rally gauges including a 120-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and combination gauge with readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 100k miles, and 50 of which have been added since the refurbishment was completed. Total mileage is unknown.
The 389ci V8 was balanced and rebuilt with a 9.5:1 compression ratio using a replacement roller tappet camshaft, lifters, and rocker arms according to the seller. Additional work completed in 2023 is said to have included porting the cylinder heads, re-coring the radiator, installing a tri-power induction setup with three Rochester two-barrel carburetors, and replacing the fuel tank, pump, and lines.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and rear axle housing a 3.23:1 differential. The seller notes the transmission was rebuilt and a replacement clutch and flywheel were installed as part of the refurbishment, at which time the replacement dual exhaust system with splitter-style quad outlets.
