The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, which are said to have been replaced.
The low-back bucket seats wear Al Knoch silver vinyl covers and are accompanied by replacement door panels, carpets, and floor mats. The dash-mounted clock is said to have been rebuilt, and additional amenities include an AM/FM radio, a heater, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline accompanied by a 160-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 427ci L36 V8 was factory rated at 390 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission.
