Silver 14″ Minilite alloy wheels are mounted with 185/60 Federal Super Steel tires, and a 13″ spare is located in the trunk. Stopping power is handled by front discs and rear drums. Work performed under prior ownership reportedly involved servicing the brakes as well as replacing the shock absorbers, wheels, and tires.
The cabin houses two bucket seats that were reupholstered in black vinyl under prior ownership and are complemented by color-coordinated replacement door panels and carpets. Amenities include a wood-veneer dashboard, a clock, a heater, a storage cubby, lap belts, and an AM radio.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Jaeger instrumentation that includes a 5,500-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 289ci Ford V8 was reportedly overhauled and installed under prior ownership. Equipment includes an open-element air cleaner, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Tiger-branded valve covers, and MSD ignition components.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery.
The Sunbeam Tiger Owner’s Association certificate of authenticity was issued in May 2013 and lists the color, engine number, JAL number, and chassis serial number.
