The Bertone-styled bodywork was delivered new in Verde Muschio and was stripped and repainted in its current shade of green in the early 1980s. Further exterior details include stainless-steel bumpers, dual side mirrors, bright window trim, quadrifoglio C-pillar badging, and a seven-bar grille with Veloce-specific three-bar intake trim overlaying black mesh.
Silver-finished 14″ steel wheels wear polished Alfa Romeo-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 205/60 Vitour Formula X Tires that were fitted in October 2022. A matching spare wheel with an older tire and a jack are stored in the trunk compartment. Koni sport shocks were installed in 2021, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced in 2019, while the brake calipers were rebuilt and painted in October 2022. Imperfections are noted on all four wheels.
The cabin houses Veloce-specific bucket seats upholstered in tan vinyl with textured inserts and accompanied by a rear bench that has been re-trimmed in color-coordinated upholstery. Additional appointments include a cabin heater, a Pyrotech driver’s latch-and-link lap belt, a fire extinguisher, and an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo linked to dual speakers mounted within the rear package shelf. A replacement headliner and black carpeting are fitted, and the faux-woodgrain dashboard trim is cracked.
A black three-spoke steering wheel features an Alfa Romeo-branded horn button and fronts a Veglia 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer flanked by combination gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6L twin-cam inline-four features dual Weber carburetors, a FISPA air cleaner assembly, and a gloss black-finished valve cover. The radiator, water pump, and fuel pump were replaced in 2019, and the battery was replaced in October 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The Alfa Romeo Classiche Certificato di Origine lists the original colors as well as a production date of July 11, 1966.
