The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Rally Red and was repainted as part of the refurbishment completed under prior ownership in 2002. Exterior features include a black convertible top, concealed headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, a black-striped stinger hood, a driver-side mirror, and side exhaust outlets. The seller states that the frame and bumpers were replaced under prior ownership.
The 15″ turbine-style wheels were installed as part of the refurbishment and are wrapped in 205/75 Nexen narrow whitewall tires. Additional refurbishment work is said to have consisted of refreshing the brakes and suspension using a rebuilt brake master cylinder and replacement brake booster, calipers, brake lines, ball joints, springs, and bushings.
The headrest-equipped bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl and are joined by power windows, a reverse lockout shifter, polished door sills, seat belts, air conditioning, and a push-button AM/FM radio. Work reportedly completed as part of the 2002 refurbishment included replacing the carpet and rebuilding the clock and radio. The air conditioning compressor, condenser, and hoses are said to have been replaced, but the system does not blow cold air.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a telescoping column and fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges displaying fuel level, battery charge, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The seller states the replacement gauges were installed as part of the 2002 refurbishment, and the five-digit odometer indicates over 100 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 427ci V8 was balanced and rebuilt before being installed as part of the 2002 refurbishment. Additional work completed at that time consisted of replacing the fuel tank and pump, rebuilding the starter and alternator, and installing three factory two-barrel Holley carburetors, an electronic ignition system, shielded ignition wires, and a factory specification Comp Cams camshaft.
The engine code and serial number are shown above, and the pad is said to have been restamped using a General Motors-style stamp kit. Additional stamps and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction differential.
