Silver 15″ Rally-style wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with 7.75-15 bias-ply Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. The car has been fitted with a composite rear leaf spring. Stopping power is provided by discs at all four corners. The wheels are said to have been stripped and refinished and the tires were reportedly installed recently.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in green vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, headrests, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes an analog clock, shoulder harnesses, a reverse lock-out shifter, polished door sills, and a Delco AM/FM radio. The carpet and interior insulation were reportedly replaced under current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for amperage, water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The steering wheel is cracked. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 was factory rated at 350 horsepower and features a polished air cleaner assembly, Corvette-script valve covers, and tubular exhaust headers. Work under current ownership is said to consist of performing a fluid service as well as repainting the engine compartment, rebuilding the carburetor, applying Cerakote to the headers, and replacing the alternator, battery, fuel pump, hose clamps, fuel lines, spark plugs, ignition wires, and air filter.
The engine block stamping pad is shown above. The suffix code stamp “HT” is pictured in the gallery and corresponds with a 327ci L79 V8 rated for 350 horsepower and paired with a manual transmission.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. The transmission leaks fluid.
