The body was repainted black with red tail stripes after being modified and mounted to a 2001 Dodge Viper chassis that had been extended. The fenders have been widened, and features include concealed headlights, a flip-up fuel cap, hood-mounted turn-signal indicators, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. The body panels are said to have been rolled and custom fitted to allow wheel articulation. The Carfax report for the Viper donor car documents an accident in April 2004, as detailed below.
Chrome-finished 18″ and 19″ SRT-branded wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires in sizes 275/35 up front and 345/30 out back. The car features four-wheel independent suspension and power steering sourced from the Viper, along with disc brakes with red-painted calipers at each corner.
The cabin features two pairs of Viper-sourced bucket seats that are upholstered in black with red inserts and embroidery. A custom full-length center console is present along with custom interior panels. Amenities include air conditioning, a heater, power windows, and front and rear lap belts. The audio system is said to have been installed in February 2023 and consists of a Pioneer CD receiver and JBL speakers as well as a removable Pioneer subwoofer box for the trunk.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel wears a Viper-logo airbag cover and fronts a custom dashboard utilizing Viper components. Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges displaying coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 15k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the selling dealer. A broken odometer is noted on the Carfax report in October 2004, and true mileage is unknown.
The Viper GTS–sourced 8.0-liter V10 is equipped with a custom dual exhaust system and was factory rated to produce 450 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque. The Charger’s firewall reportedly was moved back to accommodate the V10 engine. An air-conditioning service was performed in 2022, and the oil was changed in January 2023.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are viewable in the gallery below.
The car is titled under the chassis number MA34038, which is the Massachusetts-assigned identification number shown above. The seller connected a scan tool to the Viper’s onboard diagnostics and found the VIN 1B3ER69E61V703055, as pictured in the gallery.
