Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and mounted with 185-series Blockley tires. A matching spare is mounted in the trunk. Stopping is handled by four-wheel disc brakes. The brake reservoir sensors were replaced under current ownership along with the steering rack bushings, front wheel bearings, and front brake components.
Originally trimmed in Suede Green upholstery, the interior was reupholstered in gray under previous ownership. Appointments include air conditioning, a sliding rearview mirror, lap belts, and a retro-style push-button radio. Work performed under current ownership involved repairing the hand brake warning lights in addition to the map light, door ajar switches, interior light switch, and climate control vents as well as replacing the heater valve, heater box, headlight switches, windshield wiper and washer switches, heater fan switch, and air conditioning components.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level and mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The instrument cluster backlighting was changed to LED, and the oil pressure gauge and the high horn were replaced under current ownership.
The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and finned valve covers. Service during current ownership included changing the fluids, adjusting the carburetors, replacing the battery, starter, valve cover gaskets, coolant hoses, and motor mounts, and installing stainless steel tubular exhaust headers, a battery cutoff switch, an electronic fuel pump and ignition system, an aluminum radiator, and an electronic cooling fan. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket exhaust system has been installed, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
A reproduction identification plate has been affixed in the engine compartment and displays chassis number 1R10581, which is listed on the District of Columbia title.
