The car is finished in Mulsanne Blue (26) and features white stripes, front and rear spoilers, bright rocker moldings, dual chrome mirrors, SS badging, and a dual exhaust system that exits below the chrome rear bumper. The rear spoiler was repaired and refinished, and the side mirrors and taillights were replaced during the refurbishment completed in 2021.
Gray-finished 15″ Rally wheels wear bright trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 225/60. During the refurbishment in 2019, the suspension components were removed, painted, and reinstalled with replacement hardware and bushings. The braking system was also refreshed with replacement rotors, pads, and lines.
The cabin features front bucket seats re-trimmed in black vinyl, and equipment includes a Hurst shifter, factory air conditioning, a center console, three-point front belts, crank windows, and an aftermarket digital stereo. A Holley Sniper control unit is mounted in the glove box. The dashboard was removed during the refurbishment to overhaul the climate control system with a replacement heater core, blower motor, ducting, and lines sourced from Classic Auto Air. The pedal cluster and the shifter were also replaced.
The SS-branded steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a replacement tachometer, a clock, and gauges for amperage, temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added during current ownership.
The 402ci V8 was removed during the refurbishment, painted, resealed, and fitted with replacement intake and exhaust manifolds. A Holley Sniper programmable electronic fuel injection kit has been added, and additional work consisted of replacing the radiator, coolant overflow jug, wiring harness, spark plug wires, fuel lines, belts, and hoses. The fuel tank was also removed and fitted with an electronic fuel pump and wiring harness.
The engine block stamping includes a CTX suffix, which aligns with a 402ci V8 producing 350 horsepower for use with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional stampings and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Posi limited-slip differential with replacement bearings and ring and pinion gears. The driveshaft was also repaired and installed with replacement U-joints. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
