The polished aluminum bodywork was fitted by the current owner from 2005 through 2007 and features front wheel and headrest fairings as well as cycle-style rear fenders. Front and rear adjustable wings were added after completion of the initial build in 2009. PIAA headlights along with a custom plexiglass windshield, side mirrors, and integrated dual exhaust outlets are further details. The seller states only one exhaust outlet is functional while the other is ornamental. A mold for the windshield will accompany the car.
Panasport-style 13″ wheels are mounted with 205/60 Toyo Proxes RA1 tires. The front suspension arms were replaced with chromoly tubes, and a heavier front sway bar was installed utilizing modified mounting points. The car rides on AVO adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood front calipers over cross-drilled rotors accompanied by rear drums. A replacement brake master cylinder and a brake-bias controller have been added.
The integrated aluminum seats wear black foam seatback padding as well as green vinyl lower cushions and are accompanied by lap belts and harness straps. A three-point roll bar connects to the custom overhead structure, and the car features a custom gas pedal as well as floor-hinged clutch and brake pedals. Green cloth lines the central transmission tunnel, which houses a rerouted gear change assembly.
Black microfiber covers the three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, dash, and center console. Instrumentation consists of a centrally mounted 8k-rpm tachometer and water temperature gauge as well as a fuel gauge mounted in the center stack. The car is not equipped with an odometer, and the owner estimates approximately 6k miles have been added since completion of the build.
The rear chassis was modified and boxed prior to installation of the 2.0L Zetec DOHC inline-four, which was acquired from Serramonte Ford in Colma, California, in 2005. The engine is controlled by an Emerald K3 ECU, and the exhaust system features long-tube header as well as a Borla muffler. A riveted aluminum fuel tank and a Griffin radiator with an electric fan are mounted ahead of the cabin. An oil change was last completed in late 2022.
A removable aluminum panel protects the underside of the engine and transaxle. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Renault-sourced five-speed manual gearbox, and a lightweight flywheel and replacement clutch assembly are said to have been installed as part of the build.
