The replacement 426ci Hemi V8 was installed under previous ownership and features electronic ignition, carbon-fiber-style valve covers, Livewires spark plug wires, and long-tube headers. Cooling is provided by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement five-speed manual transmission and an 8¾” rear axle.
The fender tag indicates that this Black (TX9) 1970 ’Cuda convertible (V3X, black) was built at the Hamtramck assembly plant and factory equipped with a 383ci V8 rated at 335 horsepower along with a four-speed manual transmission (D21).
