Finished from the factory in Signal Orange and refurbished under previous ownership in 2015, the car received rust repairs on the front fenders and left-rear quarter panel before being repainted in 2022. Additional work involved replacing the Targa top vinyl, refinishing various trim pieces, repairing the driving lights, and replacing rubber seals. Features include pop-up headlights, a black removable Targa top, black sail panels, a driver-side mirror, polished bumper trim, and European-market VW/Porsche badging on the rear panel. The right-rear quarter panel is said to have been repaired following accident damage under previous ownership, and the passenger-side door is reportedly a replacement item.
The 14″ Fuchs alloy wheels were refinished under previous ownership and are mounted with 185-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were installed in 2020. Bilstien shocks have been installed, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The brake fluid was flushed in 2020.
The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette over matching carpets, and the fixed-back bucket seats were equipped with corduroy inserts from the factory. A set of Coco mats line the footwells, and amenities include a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio, wind-up windows, and three-point seatbelts. The heater was overhauled in 2020, and additional work is said to have included replacing the carpet and center arm rest.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 51k kilometers (~32k miles), approximately 30 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The mid-mounted 2.0-liter 901/3 flat-six was rated for 109 horsepower when new and comes equipped with a Weber induction system. Rebuilds of the engine and five-speed transaxle were performed in 2015, and an electronic ignition system has been installed. A replacement oil cooler was installed in 2020, and the valves were adjusted in February 2023. A replacement factory windshield fluid reservoir was installed.
