The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a multi-function gauge, and an analog clock. There are scratches on the left side of the instrument panel’s woodgrain trim. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The 340ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership and features a four-barrel carburetor and a blue-finished engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. An oil change was performed most recently in July 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A replacement dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been installed.
The fender tag indicates that this Hemi Orange (EV2) 1972 Challenger Rallye (JS23) was built at the Hamtramck, Michigan assembly plant and factory equipped with a 275-horsepower 340ci V8 (E55) along with a four-speed manual transmission (D21).
