The replacement 392ci V8 was reportedly overhauled and installed under current ownership, and it is said to have been sourced from a 1978 International Travelall. Equipment includes a high-performance camshaft, an aluminum RPT intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and a Mallory ignition coil and spark plug wires. An aluminum radiator and dual Optima red-top batteries have been installed. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is fitted with a Scout-branded aluminum rear differential cover and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
