Steel 14″ wheels wear chrome covers with body-color centers and were mounted with 185/75 Hankook Kinergy ST whitewall tires in 2020. The W108 280SE 4.5 was equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin is upholstered in green MB-Tex with wood trim on the dashboard and side window surrounds. Amenities include air conditioning, electric windows, three-point front seat belts, black and white Coco Mats, and a Becker Europa push-button AM/FM radio.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, less than 500 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
Power is provided by a fuel-injected 4.5-liter M117 V8 driving the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The valve covers were reportedly re-sealed in 2020, and service in preparation for the sale included removing and cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pump and filter.
A stainless steel Quicksilver exhaust system was installed in 2023, and the rear swing axle has been fitted with a traditional coil spring compensator. Additional photos of the underside can be found in the gallery.
