Halibrand-style 15″ knock-off wheels are mounted with 225/60 front and 295/50 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were installed in March 2023. The car is equipped with Koni adjustable coilovers in the rear along with front and rear sway bars. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. Preload wheel spacers were installed, the bearings were re-packed and greased, the steering rack was repaired, the nylon axle seals were replaced, and the brake fluid was flushed in November 2021.
The right-hand-drive cockpit features fixed back bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery with ventilation grommets and four-point harnesses. Equipment includes air conditioning, a sill-mounted shifter, a roll bar, a Lucas rearview mirror, and a master cut-off switch.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a central Jones Motorola Corp. tachometer and Stewart-Warner gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel pressure. A 200-mph speedometer is mounted below the dashboard on the passenger side. The car does not have an odometer, and the total mileage is unknown.
The 427ci side-oiler V8 was stroked to a 454ci and features a Genesis engine block in addition to an 11:1 compression ratio, and it is fitted with the following components:
Service in November 2021 involved repairing the distributor as well as replacing the air conditioning compressor drive belt and spark plugs. An oil change was performed in April 2023.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a T44 four-speed manual transaxle. A factory GT40 shift linkage was installed under current ownership.
The car was used to create audio recordings for the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari by fitting 16 microphones on the car and 15 microphones on the sound test track, and photos of the car during audio tracking are available in the gallery.
